...when I'm going to write again. Short answer - not while the Snarry and McShep fests are on, that's for sure. I can't write when I have so many fics patiently sitting by in tabs. Long answer - when I can motivate my lazy fingers to type. I was pondering my USO AU last night as I was falling asleep (as you do) and came to the conclusion that, even though Rodney as a disgruntled piano player in a USO show and John as a cocky fly boy would be brilliant, what would be even more brilliant is a McShep/M*A*S*H pastiche. Rodney would be the eccentric, cranky surgeon, Ronon would be stern yet laconic (when drunk!) surgeon that bunks with Rodney and helps him to make the still, Teyla would be 'Easy On The Eyes' Emmagen, the beautiful head nurse that will beat you to a pulp if she hears you calling her easy and John would be the cocky...helicopter pilot! Who would keep popping into the 4077 to drop off wounded and chat up Rodney.

...is it a sign that I'm running out of original(ish) ideas in a fandom when I revert to AU's and pastiches? Snarry Wuthering Heights! McShep M*A*S*H! When I start talking about Supernatural crossed over with 'So You Think You Can Dance' it's time to give me a slap.

...exactly how hairy is John Sheppard's groin? And what sort of hair? Is it thick and sleek, like the pelt of a seal? Is it patchy, after that terrible shaving incident that occurred when he and Rodney were trying to 'spice things up'? Is it bushy and spiky and does his half-hard penis poke out towards Rodney, much like the tongue of an angry echidna?

b) It must be written into his contract that he can only play characters that have daddy issues.

2. Saul Rubinek. What a great character actor. I've always enjoyed his performances in whatever shows I've seen him in.

3. I misheard JFlan's character's name as 'Jeffery Beaver.' This is very amusing and important and probably should have been number one on the list.

Just got back from finally watching the movie. I'm, what, a month behind everyone else? The casting was spectacular, the plot engaging...when is the next one coming out?

Chris Pine's Kirk was dreamy - so earnest! so fresh! - and Zach Quinto's Spock was beautiful. Now I get why everyone's in love with him!

I feel like writing 'Kirk ♥'s Spock' on all my folders. I want to practice my new signature because, when I grow up, I'm going to marry both of them.
