2. Saul Rubinek. What a great character actor. I've always enjoyed his performances in whatever shows I've seen him in.

3. I misheard JFlan's character's name as 'Jeffery Beaver.' This is very amusing and important and probably should have been number one on the list.

4. a) I can't remember what number four is. Let's pretend it's that I liked the lead actress's pink top.

b) Or it could be me wondering, 'Since when do people with badges kill bad guys with an arrow in the chest?'

AFAIK this isn't Hugh Laurie, but he's a great doppelganger. He's also naked although he is covering his rude bits.

Just got back from finally watching the movie. I'm, what, a month behind everyone else? The casting was spectacular, the plot engaging...when is the next one coming out?

Chris Pine's Kirk was dreamy - so earnest! so fresh! - and Zach Quinto's Spock was beautiful. Now I get why everyone's in love with him!

I feel like writing 'Kirk ♥'s Spock' on all my folders. I want to practice my new signature because, when I grow up, I'm going to marry both of them.

I'm sure there's a lot of you that are in the same predicament as me - too many journals, too many options!

I'm trying to streamline my reading so I don't have to flick between four journals. I've set up feeds, found old friends and new and cut some comms.

Could you please comment if you only plan on posting to one journal so I don't accidentally cut you from my view? And if you plan on cross-posting (or have a preference to where you'd prefer to be read), would you mind telling me to where?

If it looks like you're doing what I'm doing (cross-posting between LJ, IJ and DW) then I'll filter you to ensure I don't get double posts (and please feel free to do the same to me).

Also, I've got some invite codes to DW. Is there anyone that still needs one?

It’s a couple of hours away from midnight so I’m getting in early (there are some advantages to living on the other side of the world!) to wish everyone on my flist and those that occasionally read me and those that lurk a joyful, prosperous Happy New Year.

2008 has been a pretty great year for me personally (Home improvements moving along! New pet and new car! Same husband but, after being together for nearly seventeen years and married for two, that’s okay :-) and sort of so-so professionally so one of my resolutions is to just ... let it slide. Don’t let it frustrate me, don’t get angry, just let it go.

I don’t say a lot in other people’s journals because I don’t want to impose but I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone on my flist - I get such enjoyment from reading about your lives and your stories and I appreciate the connections we’ve made. Because of you, I relax every night and see my world open up in ways not possible before the advent of the internet. So, without being maudlin ::gives big hugs to everyone::

Because of uni, I also didn’t write as much this year as I did in 2007 but hey, I’ve only got one semester left so things are looking up!

The latest anti-slash, anti-incest and anti-RPS diatribe is doing the rounds and it’s absolutely appalling, mostly because it’s forcing me to inflict my nonexistent artistic skills on my friends.

Gateworld is reporting that Joe Flanigan’s father died last week, however, they don’t provide official confirmation that the story is true and I don’t think there’s anything on the net yet to support their claim.

Those of you who have LJ news friended probably wouldn’t have seen the latest developments by LJ. A staff sockpuppet in lj_biz redirected our attention to lj_policy for an update on the ’Adult Content Flagging’ issue . Another thing to note is that some interests are no longer searchable (well done elfwreck and co. for all your hardwork).

And the reason they spread out all pertinent information over so many journals? I’ll leave that for you to work out.

Why hasn’t anyone written an AU where John and Rodney are wrestlers? Or if they have, why hasn’t anyone linked me?
